Greetings from Saint George, Utah Please note that time-of-day on this page is Mountain Time . Since the first of this year, members of the Community of Christ have been meeting in Saint George, Utah. We have 14-18 members and non-members coming from Mesquite, NV and the Saint George, UT areas to worship with us. We meet every week in the homes of our members. The services emphasize our personal relationships with our Heavenly Father and testimonies of His Holy Spirit moving and living among us. Prepared sermons are not emphasized nor given. We gather for fellowship, worship, prayer and testimonies, and administrations all of which are followed by either snacks or a pot luck dinner. On Communion Sunday this special service concentrates on scripture readings, prayers of forgiveness and testimonies in which administrations are again offered, followed by the blessing and serving of the sacraments. Hymn singings and responsive readings all relating to the sacraments are also provided. The goals of the Saint George Community of Christ Church are basically very simple: Develop meaningful worship experiences; Involve all members in the active worship experience; Develop attendee's personal relationships with God; Develop fellowship within the Saints gathered in St. George; Witness Jesus Christ to the community; and Keep the worship experience rich in spiritual experiences. All the Saints gather for Sunday School Study at 10:00 AM. The subject material is taken from the Serendipity Bible with the worship service beginning after the conclusion of the class. A light snack and fellowship continues after the service. All are welcomed, invited and encouraged to attend with us in the Saint George, Utah area.
